Purpose of the course
The purpose of this courseis to explore the biblical concept of Shalom and the role of the church in advocacy and peace building as avenues of seeking reconciliation in urban communities.
Course Objectives: By the end of this course the student should be able to
1. Explain the biblical concept of Shalom and be able to relate the concept to situation of conflicts in their own context
2. Explain the intertwine between peace building and advocacy
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the tools that promote peace building in conflict situations in local churches and communities
4. Develop advocacy strategies for responding to injustices in their context of ministry
