Purpose of the Course
The purpose of this course is to advance the knowledge of students on the history of the church. Students will be exposed to the history of the church and Christianity from AD 451- AD 1350 also referred to as medieval church history.
Course Objectives: By the end of the course the student should be able to
1. State the main factors that characterize the church during the medieval period
2. Identify aspects of the medieval church that led to growth of Christianity
3. Compare the present state of the Church with that of medieval times
