Purpose of the Course
The purpose of this course is to provide students with an in depth study of historical roots of missionary work in Africa.
Course Objectives: By the end of the course the student should be able to:
1.Explain the role of both foreign and indigenous missionary agencies and their influence on the continent.
2.Discuss the relationship between the missionary enterprise and foreign governments
3.Describe the development and significant contribution of the African Church in Christian mission in reference to the African context.
4. Evaluate the impact of the churches on African society
