Purpose of the Course
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to early church history that will be foundational in their understanding of the history of the church. Early church history will expose students to the knowledge of Christianity and the church between 29 AD to 451 AD.
Course Objectives: By the end of the course the student should be able to
1. Trace the history of the Church from its very beginnings in Jerusalem
2. Describe the challenges the Church had to the middle of the 4th century
3. Relate the challenges in the early Church with the present day Church challenges
