Purpose of Course
The purpose of this course is to introduce the foundation and approaches to ethics and the nature of ethical thinking in Christian theology, by considering biblical, traditional and contemporary perspectives in relation to ethical questions relevant in Africa today. Also students will be able to look at the dangers of negative ethnicity as a moral problem.
Course Objectives: By the end of the course the student should be able to
1. Identify the different sources of ethical behaviour
2. Show how the Christian theological perspective is grounded in some of these resources.
3. Demonstrate the importance of ethics in relation to Christian mission in the African context.
