This module unit focusses on equipping the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will
enable him/her to initiate, plan and undertake community capacity building and empowerment
activities. Below is a list of the general objectives:-
o Appreciate the importance of community capacity building and empowerment in social
development.
o Understand the community empowerment cycle and techniques.
o Initiate and manage community capacity building and empowerment programmes.
